5.00pm Life On Our Shores

0.5 mile, 2 hours

A very popular walk for children and adults led by an expert from Mulberry Divers in Selsey.

We all know that that our seas are filled with a wealth of Marine Life but you might be surprised by how much marine life you can find on our shores. A short walk along the beach will reveal the versatile and resilient life that adjusts to the ebb and flood of the tides. There are several species that specialise in being exposed at certain times of the day, or even enjoy very shallow water to sunbathe! Amongst the pebbles on the beach are often clues to some of the life that once lived in deeper water. From territory wars to opportunists this is your chance to find out more.

Led by Anya Frampton from Mulberry Divers your walk will take you from East Beach to the Bill, however we may not get very far depending go on how much we find!!  Anya will show you where to look and tell you about what you can find, including facts, trivia and myths. If you have enjoyed rock pooling in the past you will love this.

The walk is suitable for all ages but we do ask that children are accompanied by an adult. Come prepared to get wet up to calves if you want to get up close and personal with some of the shy residents.

£2 per person, £5 per family (up to 2 adults and 3 children).

Tickets can be booked  here.

Meet at East Beach Car Park, Beach Rd, Selsey. PO20 0SZ.
